Frequently Asked Questions?
Do I need a high-clearance or 4×4 vehicle? No. The access road is dusty but suitable for standard vehicles. A 4×4 or high-clearance vehicle is not required.
Are you pet friendly? We are pet friendly for small, well-behaved dogs only, with a limit of one dog per cabin or cottage. Please note that camping and the hostel are not pet friendly. All dogs must be kept on a leash in communal areas to ensure the safety of other guests, farm animals, and local wildlife.
How far is the waterfall and hiking route? The waterfall is a scenic 10-minute walk from the camping area and accommodation. The Khoisan rock art hike takes approximately 45 minutes and can be done as a guided walk on request.
Can you tell us more about camping? We offer tent camping only (no car camping and no shaded sites). This is an adults-only space (16+), with a calm, laid-back atmosphere best suited to easy-going, nature-loving campers. Facilities include warm showers, clean toilets, and a shared lapa with hot water, a fridge, and a gas stove. The campsite is a 12-minute walk to the waterfall. Cost: R400 per tent (2 guests) per night.
Do you offer day visits? Yes. Day visitors (2026) are welcome at R200 per person. The waterfall is a scenic 10-minute walk from the main area. Access is from 8am to 8pm, and guests are welcome to swim at the waterfall and enjoy the natural rock pools.
Can we rent the farm for a private event? Yes. We offer exclusive-use farm rentals for events and private groups. This includes accommodation for up to 19 guests, camping for up to 24 guests, and full private access to the farm and all facilities, including the sauna and hot tubs. There is no public access during your stay. If you’d like, we’re happy to connect you with our event coordinator to assist with planning.
What other experiences do you offer? A guided Khoisan rock art hike and Balinese massage are available and can be pre-booked, subject to availability.
